So Happy It's Thursday!!!

Well, I'm so happy it's Thursday. I have tommorrow off...so for me, it's almost like being Friday! Today I got to work a whole batch of claims on my own for the first time. I got to sit at my own desk and finally read my email for the first time this week. I really like insurance so far, and I'm learning alot.

Besides work, we are feeling lucky to be nice and warm. Our fan went out on the heater Tuesday morning...so it gets rather cool in here at night. So yesterday, Mr Fix it Miller, finally got a replacement motor and got the furnace back in working condition. The parts guy said it's hard to find parts for furnaces that look like they came over on the Mayflower...it is so old that we'll be lucky to make it through the winter. But we were hoping to use our savings for a garage door so that we can use the garage this winter. Everything always goes to 'heck' at the same time!

I got to eat lunch with Melinda Jane today. It's so much fun getting to work with 2 of my favorite sisters. If my other fav can get a cleaning buisness going...I could say that I work with all 3 of my sisters!!! :) Isn't that special? !!!

Any of you who like Olive Garden's alfredo sauce..need to check the comment Alysia posted 2 blogs ago. Her alfredo sauce is the best in the world!! I eat it till I'm sick!! That along with fareway's bake and serve breadsticks, it's a perfect combination.

Well, right now I'm gonna start on a menu for the next couple of weeks. I hate thinking of things to cook. I dont mind cooking if I can think of somthing. Seems like we always end up with the same things (tacos, pizza, more tacos, more pizza). Tonight is salmon. Jason and I had a debate on wheather we prefer salmon patties or salmon loaf. I told him they're made the same way there is really no difference. He so 'helpfully' pointed out, that there is a big difference. One is a patty...one is a loaf. DUH!!!

If anyone has any pictures that I can post on my blog, I would be thrilled. Most of my pictures are on another computer and I'm too lazy to get them all converted.

Well I'm off to write up menu's and grocery list. I think I might go to Mason City tommorrow to Aldi's to stock up. With winter coming, it's nice not to have to leave the house for groceries if you dont have to. Thanks for reading again today. Dont forget to vote at the bottom if you haven't already!

One More thing...

There is a new poll at the bottom of this page...please vote!!! I'll be running new ones all week!

brrrr....

I'm back and so are you!!

I had a nice day in insurance...cold, but very nice. Regina (who is training me) says maybe by the end o the week I can work claims by myself. Unfortunately there are so many little details to remember I'm afraid I'll miss somthing. The other new girl is very good about giving me notes on things so I dont forget anythying.

Melinda looks very chipper sporting her new pink scrubs. She's nervous about working with the mentally challenged, but I think she'll find it's not as 'greek' as she might think.

I suppose I should go get my spaghetti ready for supper. I am gonna make alfredo and breadsticks to go with it too...

Hope everyone is staying warm!!! Fall has sprung...or somthing like that!

day two...

well look who's back for more....i knew you couldn't resist!!

Well the question of the day is...why does it feel like there are more monday's then friday's?
Today was about as Monday as you can get. To begin with, I didn't know which department I was working in. Then we had a really long stressful meeting. And to top it all off my ears are plugged. HUH? WHAT WAS THAT???? I CAN"T HEAR U?

Well, we accomplished nothing on Sunday afternoon. I had some more laundry to do ( since I only do wash every 2 weeks), and we got the garbage ready to set out for tonight. We need to change oil in both vehicles but we didn't make it to riceville like we hoped to. I baked cookies and cooked nothing!

So Melinda started at the hospital today... she looked a little nervous but she will love her job. She had to take a bunch of online tests, and all her required lab tests. Then she was gonna maybe get to shadow someone this afternoon on a home visit. I'm so excited to get to see Melinda Jane almost every single day!!

So what can I tell you ? At work I finally got a new computer to go on my new desk. I also have a new phone. I have a new number on my new phone... 483-4884 very exciting huh?

And we're off...

So the question is if everyone else can have a blog...why not us? I'm sure despite what you may be thinking...this is going to be very enlightening for everyone.

What's worse? Me wasting my time writing a blog, or you...wasting your time reading it? Good question eh?

So to get it kicked off I'll tell you about our exciting weekend so far. Yesterday we spent the whole day mowing, putting stuff away for winter, and doing lots of laundry. Also, we went to Klunder's for breakfast (our usual Sat. routine). After that we came home and got right to work with all the chores we've been putting off with all the rain. We had somewhere around 4 inches this last week...so things are still pretty soggy. Luckily that gave Jason the weekend off. This will be his first whole weekend off in 2 monthes. 2nd day in 21 days.

Other then that...I had the timer running all day and switching out the laundry as soon as the last load finished. I cleaned the upstairs from top to bottom, vacuuming under the bed and all the corners. My allergies were alot better this morning, and I think that may have been part of the help. Next weekend, I will be working my last weekend...so this weekend is my chance to get stuff done. Paul (next door) was probably relieved to see that we finally decided to mow and rake! We've been putting it off till more leaves fell. Round one raking is completed for now anyway.

My christmas cactus has a million buds on it, so I'm really excited to say that I haven't killed that poor thing off yet. But I'm not sure why it's a Christmas cactus if it blooms on Halloween? I've got Thanksgiving planned for the 24th of November, which is a Saturday. Everyone can be prepared to get your assignments. I have a seating chart this year... that will make it alot more fun. I'm thinking of having it start a little earlier in the day though because otherwise it's over way to fast and it's depressing to me. If I have it start at 4 and have dinner at 6...is that too weird? Otherwise ppl get here at 6 and leave at like 8 and I sit here wondering why I spent the last several weeks cleaning and planning for just a couple of hours.

Ok ...that's all for now. I will 'blog' more later. Admit it...your really excited to read what's new tommorrow aren't you?

Love you all!
